Both Pokemon GO and Nintendo’s Super Mario Run offer in-app purchases – but in different ways. During its first few days of availability, in-app spending on Super Mario Run surpassed Pokémon GO, with 3.3 times the number of in-game buyers. This is because although Pokemon GO purchases can enhance gameplay, they aren’t necessarily required. On the other hand, Super Mario Run requires an in-app purchase to enjoy the full experience. Check out the chart above for more comparisons between the buying population.
