Chinese officials have announced plans to not license augmented reality games, including Pokemon GO. This means the immensely-popular mobile game won’t be released in China “any time soon,” even though the country is the worlds biggest smartphone and online gaming market. Developer Niantic has yet to comment on this matter, but stay tuned for any updates. Pokemon GO’s first year-end event recently concluded.
