Nintendo is adamant that Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS can coexist, but that isn’t stopping it from thinking about what’s next for the six-year-old handheld. According to company president Tatsumi Kimishima, Nintendo is considering a successor to the 3DS line of systems “as always.” Nintendo’s Shinya Takahashi also chimed in as well to mimic Kimishima’s words. Regarding a new portable, he explained that Nintendo is always thinking about its next game device, so the answer is “We are always thinking about it” – rather than simply saying there is or there isn’t a 3DS successor.
