The recently-announced Pokémon RPG for Nintendo Switch might be available as early as next year. Game Freak’s first console Pokémon game is scheduled to launch sometime in 2018, according to a recent GamesBeat interview with Nintendo of America corporate communications director Charlie Scibetta. However, a Nintendo representative has since issued a follow-up statement to clarify its stance:
No change in what we announced last week, which is that those two games are coming, but they have no specifically announced release window/year.
