Pokémon GO‘s latest update implements a weather icon that can be tapped to highlight which Pokémon types are more likely to appear in the surrounding area and will be affected by current weather conditions. Players in areas with less-than-ideal weather may be met with an Extreme Weather screen with a warning message. In addition, the immensely-popular mobile game now alerts players to hazardous weather. The alert includes the following notice:
Hazardous weather alert! Check your local weather service for details.
