Nintendo on track to sell more 3DS systems this year than 2016 thanks to Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon

In a recent interview with Forbes, Nintendo said that it is seeing robust demand for its Nintendo 3DS family of handheld game consoles, which have exceeded lifetime worldwide sales of more than 20.4 million units, thanks to a strong lineup of first-party games such as Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. “In the United States we’re on track to actually sell more Nintendo 3DS systems this year than we did last year,” Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime said. “That’s incredible for a system that has been out in the marketplace and is enjoying its seventh holiday right now.”
