Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon players can now sign up to battle using Pokémon from the entire National Pokédex in the upcoming 2018 International Challenge January Online Competition. This is the first Online Competition where Trainers will use the 2018 Championship Series rules. The competition goes from Friday, January 26, at 00:00 UTC, until Sunday, January 28, 2017, at 23:59 UTC. Trainers will be limited to 15 battles per day. Junior/Senior Division players (born in 2003 or later) are limited to playing between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., based on the easternmost time zone in each player’s country.
To register, you’ll need a Pokémon Trainer Club account. After you log in, you’ll be able to read and accept the regulations on the Pokémon Global Link. You’ll also need your own Pokémon Ultra Sun or Pokémon Ultra Moon video game and a Battle Team of eligible Pokémon. Accept the regulations on the PGL by Thursday, January 25, at 23:59 UTC, and get ready to battle!
The top players in each age division will receive Championship Points, which contribute toward the chances of earning an invitation to the Pokémon World Championships. Players must be opted in to the Play! Pokémon program and have a Player ID at the time the competition begins to be eligible for Championship Points. All qualified competitors will also earn 50 Battle Points.
