Detective Pikachu producer Hiroyuki Jinnai was recently interviewed by The Verge to discuss the upcoming game’s original concept with a talking Pikachu, surprising Pokémon fans and much more. “We really started with the concept of making Pikachu talk,” explains. Hiroyuki Jinnai. “We really worked hard to come up with a justification and setting to make that work.
