GameStop uses Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch fanart as potentially misleading ads, Sceptile, Decidueye and other unconfirmed fighters are represented

A number of Nintendo fans have noticed that GameStop is advertising pre-orders for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch by using fanart created for the highly-anticipated fighting game. While some may appreciate the retailer’s recognition of Nintendo fans’ art, it could potentially confuse consumers as to which characters are included in the game. For example, the above fanart displays two Pokémon fighters – Decidueye and Sceptile – as well as various other unconfirmed characters.
