Special Kanto event for Pokémon GO announced for April 10

Pokémon GO developer Niantic has revealed that a special event focused on the original Kanto region will kick off for the immensely-popular mobile game on April 10. The official announcement is as follows:

BREAKING NEWS: NEW EVENT STARTING SOON!

Trainers, starting April 10, we’ll be hosting a special celebration in honor of the Kanto region in Pokémon GO! Keep your eyes on the official Pokémon GO website and social media channels for more information surrounding this event.
