New Shiny Pokémon Shiny Shellder and Shiny Kyogre confirmed for Pokémon GO and start officially appearing today, June 7, at 1 p.m. PDT

The Water Festival 2018 event has been announced and fully detailed for Pokémon GO. It is set to kick off today, June 7, at 1 p.m. PDT and will be underway until June 21 at 1 p.m. PDT. During the latest in-game event players will encounter increased appearances of Water-type Pokémon like Magikarp and Wailmer, the Pokémon GO debut of Shiny Shellder, Field Research tasks highlighting Water-type Pokémon, 3x Stardust for catching Water-type Pokémon, 2 km Eggs with Pokémon such as Totodile, Mudkip and Corphish, and Double Candy and Stardust for every Egg hatched.

Raid Battles will also feature powerful Water-type Pokémon for the duration of the celebration, including the return of the Legendary Pokémon Kyogre. In addition, if you challenge Kyogre during the event and come out victorious, there is a chance you’ll encounter its rare Shiny form for the first time. It’s time to make a splash! Our Water Festival returns June 7 at 1:00 p.m. PDT, with Water-type Pokémon such as Magikarp and Wailmer appearing more frequently in the wild. Some lucky Trainers may even encounter a rare Shiny Shellder for the very first time during the event! Plus, enjoy Field Research tasks highlighting Water-type Pokémon until June 21 at 1:00 p.m. PDT.

Alongside increased appearance of Water-type Pokémon appearing all over the world, you’ll be able to earn 3× Stardust for catching Water-type Pokémon. Plus, 2 km Eggs will hatch exciting Pokémon such as Totodile, Mudkip, and Corphish—earn Double Candy and Stardust for every Egg hatched!
