The first round of Professor Willow’s Global Challenge took place on June 30 and July 1 during the Pokémon GO Safari Zone event in Dortmund, Germany. Since all of the requirements of the challenge were met, players have unlocked XP bonuses for catching Pokémon, hatching Eggs and participating in Raid Battles. Trainers have also unlocked a bonus to make Lucky Eggs last for one hour until July 9.
In addition, Trainers worldwide will be given five free Raid Passes when they spin a Photo Disc at a Gym for Articuno Day, featuring the Legendary Pokémon Articuno. On Saturday, July 7, Articuno will be available in Raid Battles around the world for a three-hour period. You may be able to encounter its rare Shiny form as well. See below for event hours in your region:
- The Asia-Pacific region: 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. JST (GMT +9)
- Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India: 9:00 a.m.to 12:00 p.m. UTC (GMT +0)
- The Americas and Greenland: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PT (GMT -8)
Is Daylight time calculated in this? Will Articuno arrive at 2 pm EDT or 3 pm EDT? Thanks 🙂

I have several questions. Are eggs starting to appear at 11:00 a.m. PT, or are they beginning to hatch then? Will there still be the one hour window between egg appearance and egg hatching, or will it be shortened to, say, a 15 minute window? Will all eggs appearing in those three hours be exclusively Articuno?

Where are you seeing that Articuno may hatch from eggs? All it says it that he can be a raid boss!
