Nintendo Co., Ltd. has applied for new trademarks in Japan for both Super Smash Bros. and Splatoon (both trademarks are for the English words). As well as for video game purposes, the trademarks include for providing of entertainment, all manners of lending purposes, and the planning and holding of events, etc. The Super Smash Bros. trademark also allows for game controllers.
