The Squirtle-themed Pokémon GO Community Day, which was postponed in Japan due to extreme weather conditions, took place in the region on Saturday, August 4, 2018. Articuno Day, which was also postponed for the same reason, was also being held on the same day. Both Articuno Day and the Squirtle Community Day were running simultaneously from 09:00 to 15:00 JST. The XP bonus that was unlocked at the Pokémon GO Safari Zone in Dortmund, Germany, was also available to players in Japan during that time as well. Meanwhile, the upcoming Eevee Community Day is set to take place on August 11 and August 12 from 18:00 to 21:00 on each day. The aforementioned timings have been altered due to the deadly heatwave in Japan.
