The Pokémon Company announces three new Online Competitions: 2018 International Challenge November, 2019 International Challenge February and 2019 Japan Championships Qualifiers

The Pokémon Company has announced three new Online Competitions that Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon players can participate in for a chance to receive an invitation to the 2019 Pokémon World Championships.

In the 2018 International Challenge November, players will compete using the Sun Series of VGC 2019. This bans Mega Evolutions, Primal Reversions and Z-Crystals. The top 30 Japanese players from this competition will be invited to 2019 Worlds.

In the 2019 International Challenge February, players will compete using the Moon Series of VGC 2019. This bans Mega Evolutions, Primal Reversions and Ultra Necrozma. Once again, the top 30 Japanese players from this competition will be invited to 2019 Worlds.

In the 2019 Japan Championships Qualifiers in April of next year, Japanese players will compete using the Ultra Series of VGC 2019. This allows all Z-Crystals and Mega Evolutions. The top 40 Japanese players will be invited to 2019 Worlds.
