According to The NPD Group analyst Mat Piscatella, Nintendo is the best-selling software publisher of the year in the U.S. This is primarily due to the company’s multi-million sellers, including Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and many more popular games.
Nintendo is the best-selling publisher of the year when it comes to SW, despite The NPD Group not having permission to report on its digital sales. It just so happened that other new releases took the spotlight.
