The winners of The Game Awards 2018 were recently announced in Los Angeles, California. Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu, Let’s Go Eevee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate weren’t nominated this year as the cutoff date for games was mid-November. However, gaming fans were treated to more than 10 new game announcements, as well as updates on existing titles. In addition, Nintendo has been reminding fans to watch the event, which featured a surprise announcement for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It turns out that Nintendo of America employees Bill Trinen and Doug Bowser appeared to be playing Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee at the event, with a Poké Ball Plus visible on Trinen’s lap:
