Super Smash Bros. Ultimate sold 5 million units in its first three days in Japan alone

According to Japanese publication Nikkei, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate managed to top five million units sold during its first three days of availability in Japan. This impressive figure includes both retail sell-through and digital copies. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was released worldwide on December 7, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
