The Pokémon Company recently revealed that next year’s Pokémon anime movie – officially titled Pokémon the Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution – will premiere in Japan on July 12, 2019. The upcoming movie is being directed by Kunihiko Yuyama and Motonori Sakakibara, while the screenplay is by Takeshi Shudo. Meanwhile, Japanese publication CoroCoro has given fans a first look at both Mew and Pikachu in the film. You can check out new 3D models of both Mew and Mewtwo by clicking here. The Pokémon Company has revealed that the next episode of Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon will present the “latest information on this year’s movie” in Japan. In addition, an “important announcement” about Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution will be made on March 1 during an airing of Oha Suta in Japan. A new trailer for the upcoming film will also be unveiled tomorrow, March 1, on Oha Suta.
