Smeargle replaces Ash and Pikachu GO Snapshot photobombing in Pokémon GO

Pokémon GO‘s latest April Fool’s Day recently went live in various territories across the globe. From April 1 to April 2, 2019, Ash Ketchum and Ash Hat Pikachu photobombed your AR photos in GO Snapshot mode instead of Smeargle. Pikachu was then made available to be captured, but Ash of course was not available to catch. When Ash appeared by himself, you still resulted in an encounter with Ash Hat Pikachu. These photobomb sessions could have happened a total of five times for each player. In addition, Ash Hat Pikachu could have appeared and been caught as a Shiny. This Shiny Pikachu can evolve into a Shiny Raichu that retains Ash’s cap. In Japan, The Pokémon Company and TV Tokyo hosted a competition that will result in featuring April Fool’s Day GO Snapshot photos taken by fans alongside the next episode of Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon, which airs on April 7 in Japan. From April 3 local time, Smeargle returns as the photobombing star, therefore replacing Ash and Pikachu.
