Nintendo reveals when Joker will join the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster

Persona 5’s Joker “joins the battle” on April 17th. The announcement has some players discussing how the new character will measure up to existing ones and what ability Kirby will take from him.

Joker, the Mementos stage, update version 3.0 and more new content are coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate later today, April 17, in North America and on April 18 in Europe. Meanwhile, new Super Smash Bros. series amiibo for Pichu, standalone Pokémon Trainer and Isabelle will be available on July 26.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – New Content Approaching – Nintendo Switch

New content approaches! Joker joins the playable roster, and updates in Ver. 3.0 include additional functionality, such as a stage builder, video editing, and Smash World integration.

Replays created in versions before 2.0.2 are not compatible with 3.0.0 which will be released tomorrow. If you have replays you want to keep, you'll need to convert your replays by doing to Vault -> Replays -> Replay Data -> Convert to Video before updating the software.
