The Pokémon World Championships have always been the home of the most exciting, highest-stakes Pokémon battles, and this year Pokémon GO joins the fray with a special competition. Trainer Battles were on display in the Pokémon GO Invitational on Friday, August 16, which immediately followed the opening ceremonies. There’s also a Pokémon GO task list available for attendees. Among other things, it confirms that the New Zealand regional exclusive Relicanth is now spawning at the 2019 Worlds event in Washington, D.C.
