There are two different forms of Galarian Ponyta, one lacks a tail in Pokémon Sword and Shield

As another way to promote Pokémon Sword and Shield, The Pokémon Company was broadcasting live footage from Glimwood Tangle in the Galar region. During the stream, a number of Pokémon were shown off and therefore confirmed to appear in Pokémon Sword and Shield, including Morelull, Phantump, Impidimp, Shiinotic and a new Pokémon that with a pony/horse-like body that turned out to be Galarian Ponyta. There are two different forms of Galarian Ponyta, one of which lacks a tail. You can rewatch all 24 hours of the entire stream via the embedded video below:
