Galar Tourism Guide: Exemplary Trainers take part in the Champion Cup once a year in Pokémon Sword and Shield

The wait is officially over for Pokémon Sword and Shield! The latest duo of Pokémon games are now available for purchase around the world for Nintendo Switch. Pokémon Sword and Shield allow you to choose from three new partner Pokémon and encounter never-before-seen Pokémon. Explore the Wild Area, a vast expanse of land where the player can freely control the camera.

Once a year, exemplary Trainers take part in the Champion Cup. This tournament is broadcast on live TV, so the entire region tunes in to see who will be chosen as the next Champion!

Before you can begin the Gym Challenge, you’ll have to get a letter of endorsement from a Gym Leader or another notable Trainer. But no need to worry—a certain champion with a Charizard will be vouching for you. 😉
