The latest Pokémon anime series is simply called Pocket Monsters, a direct reference to when the anime first began back in 1997. The setting takes place in all Pokémon regions to date, including Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Unova and Galar. Ash and Pikachu have returned and are joined by a new trainer named Go and his partner Scorbunny. The new series officially premiered on November 17, 2019. クチバシティの港で、げっそりとやつれたポッチャマに出会ったサトシとゴウ。研究所に連れ帰ると、ポッチャマのトレーナーのミサキから、行方を探しているという連絡を受ける。なんとポッチャマはシンオウ地方から泳いできたのだと言う。ポッチャマをミサキの元に返すため、サトシとゴウは、シンオウ地方へ向かう！
