Release notes may be posted before the release is available to all players. Please check your app store for the latest version of Pokémon GO available to you.

Updates

  • GO Battle League will no longer need to be unavailable when server maintenance is performed. We will continue taking steps to improve and build on GO Battle League, with this change being one of those steps.
  • Some items are now deletable on the pre-Battle screen before battling Team GO Rocket
  • Buddy Gifts containing items will now be recorded in the Journal
  • Timed Research quests and tasks completed for daily PokéCoins no longer count towards Field Research stamps

Bug Fixes (some of these were already released in the previous 0.181.1 release)

  • Fixed an issue that caused empty Gifts if the Trainer already had a full Gift Sticker inventory
  • Fixed an issue with daily Pokémon encounters, allowing the feature to be turned on again
  • Fixed one root cause that caused an app softlock after tapping on Pokémon that can no longer be encountered on the Map. We are investigating other root causes for this issue.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a delay after a missed or knocked away Poké Ball during Pokémon encounters
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Timed Research section to sometimes disappear after tasks are completed
  • Fixed an issue that caused invited friends to be removed from the raid if all Pokémon in their battle party faint during the Raid Battle
  • Fixed a visual bug that caused invited friends who rejoin a Raid Battle to be requested to use another Raid Pass (this second Raid Pass was not consumed)
  • Fixed an issue in which Charged Attacks fired at the same time would allow the Trainer with the first Charged Attack to switch Pokémon
