Here is where you can find a list of issues currently being investigated by our engineering team. This list will be updated regularly, and issues will be added and removed as they are discovered and resolved. Please note that this is not a comprehensive list of all issues we are aware of or working to fix. You can find the list of known issues related to GO Battle League here.

Team GO Rocket Grunt encounters sometimes causes the game to freeze.
Issue description: Sometimes, when a Trainer initiates a battle with Team GO Rocket, the game will freeze and become unresponsive. This issue was mitigated by removing Team GO Rocket encounters temporarily.

When using a Lucky Egg, Trainers do not receive doubled experience as their Friendship levels increase.
Issue description: Trainers may see a delayed notification after the effects of the Lucky Egg have run out, causing them to not obtain doubled experience for their Friendship level increases.

Trainers who received an AR Mapping Field Research task on April 20, 2021 may be unable to access their Research View.
Issue description: Trainers will see a blank Today View, Field Research View, and/or Special Research View after receiving an AR Mapping Field Research task on April 20, and also be unable to claim their rewards.

Trainers who joined Pokémon GO in 2017 and have not been active in the last 90 days can’t use referrals.
Issue description: Trainers who originally joined Pokémon GO in 2017, but have not been active in the last 90 days, are unable to use referral codes.

Eevee appears to be able to evolve into Sylveon
Issue description: A Trainer can attempt to evolve their Eevee into Sylveon, however, the evolution does not take place and the Trainer receives a network error, as Sylveon is not available yet. Additionally, for some Trainers, it appears that this evolution uses 25 Eevee Candies. However, the Candies are automatically replaced in their Item Bag after the evolution fails.

Pokémon nicknames do not reset to the Pokémon species name after removing the nickname.
Issue description: If a Trainer removes their Pokémon’s nickname and saves the removal, instead of reverting to the Pokémon species name, the nickname will display instead.

Evolving a Buddy sometimes causes the game to crash and get stuck on the post-login warning.
Issue description: Sometimes Trainers evolve their Buddy, and find that their Buddy disappears. This can be resolved if the Trainer is able to add a Buddy from any of their existing Pokémon while the game is still responsive. However, if they are unable to do so, the game will eventually become unresponsive and lock the player into the “Do not trespass” or “Do not drive” warnings indefinitely.

Level Up statistics are incorrect.
Issue description: When a Trainer levels up, the number of Pokémon caught, raids won, and Pokéstops visited in the Previous Level’s Activity pop-up does not reflect the actual numbers from the previous level.

Blank Niantic Profile.
Issue description: Some trainers who have been upgraded to the newest version of Niantic Friends may see a blank Niantic Profile.

Maps may load incorrectly such as Pokèstops, Gyms, and Pokèmon not appearing outside of the immediate vicinity of player location
Issue description: When trainers open the app, Pokèstops, Gyms, and Pokèmon will load close by to the player. As trainers walk through the map it may take up to one minute to load. If trainers background the app while in motion, this bug may reset and take another minute to resolve.

I used the kira eevee and received the network error and now I can not evolve my eevee into sylveon. It is acting as though i have already got the sylveon and can not use the name trick now.
