Confront Ghetsis & Kyurem in Pokémon Masters EX’s New Legendary Event
The true leader of Team Plasma has come to confront N, and you can once again scout Alder & Volcarona.
Intense family drama has arrived on Pasio in the form of Pokémon Masters EX‘s new legendary event. From May 3, 2021, at 11:00 p.m. PDT to May 19, 2021, at 10:59 p.m. PDT, you’ll be able to experience the Father or Foe event, which focuses on the sync pair Ghetsis & Kyurem. You can complete battles and progress through the event to team up with Ghetsis & Kyurem, and you’ll find their sync grid has already been expanded.
Ghetsis, of course, is the father of N, the former leader of Team Plasma. In this event’s story, Ghetsis has suddenly arrived to see his son, but the purpose behind his visit will be up to you to discover. Could this be the loving reunion between father and son we’ve all been waiting for?
During this legendary event, you’ll be able to complete event areas to collect legendary prize coins. These prize coins can then be used to pull useful items from the prize box as you progress through the event. With the prize box and event missions, you’ll also be able to maximize Ghetsis & Kyurem’s potential and move level.
To help confront the villainous Ghetsis, Alder & Volcarona have returned to the sync pair scout. It only makes sense for Alder, the Unova Pokémon League Champion, to show back up as Ghetsis makes his debut. After all, Ghetsis previously sought to control the Unova region by any means necessary. Alder & Volcarona will be a solid sync pair to help with this event, so if you missed adding them to your team during their previous appearance, here’s another opportunity.

You can team up with Ghetsis & Kyurem in this event. Ghetsis & Kyurem will be released with their Sync Grid expanded.
With the Prize Box and Event Missions, you will be able to raise the potential and move level of Ghetsis & Kyurem to the highest level.
Event Details
You can complete battles and progress through the event to team up with Ghetsis & Kyurem!
You can collect Legendary Prize Coins H by completing battles, then use them to pull from the Prize Box!
When you pull a grand prize from the Prize Box, you can move on to the next Prize Box pool.
Grand prizes include 5★-Guaranteed Scout Ticket, Ghetsis & Kyurem’s Custom ★ Power-Ups, and more!
Lineup Bonuses
You can earn bonus rewards if you have specific Sync Pairs in your lineup for battles in this event.
The more of these sync pairs you place in your lineup, the more rewards you will obtain!

The lineup bonus is ×1 by default and varies according to which sync pairs are on the team.
Example 1: If you place a ×1.6 Sync Pair and a ×1.2 Sync Pair on your team, you will receive ×1.8 the number of Legendary Prize Coins H.
Example 2: If you place a ×1.6 Sync Pair and a ×1.6 Sync Pair on your team, you will receive ×2.2 the number of Legendary Prize Coins H.
Event Missions
You can take on special missions during the event period.
If you meet certain conditions in event missions, you can earn event medals and acquire Ghetsis & Kyurem more times to level up their moves.

Important
- To participate, you must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
- The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those you can actually obtain.
- Items remaining in the prize box will no longer be obtainable after proceeding to the next prize pool.
- When the prize box closes, leftover Legendary Prize Coins H will be converted into coins (10 coins per Legendary Prize Coin H) and sent to your Present Box.
- Legendary Event Father or Foe may come back again in the future. Your progress in the current event will not be carried over when the event is held next.
- Please note that if you fulfill the requirements to acquire Ghetsis & Kyurem after their Move Level has been upgraded to 5, you will get a 3★ Power-Up instead of a 5★ Power-Up.
- All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
- The content is subject to change without notice.
