Pokémon GO players are now able to submit game logs from GO Battle League directly to Niantic

Pokémon GO players are now able to submit game logs from GO Battle League directly to Niantic. Read on below to learn more:

Sharing Game Logs

If you encounter an issue with a raid or while battling in GO Battle League, you can share data from that raid or battle via the Game Logging feature, which will allow you to submit your game data to Niantic and help us to improve the feature.

Enabling Game Logging

Before you’re able to share your logs, first you’ll need to enable Logging in your settings.

  1. From the Map View, tap the Main Menu button.

  2. Tap the Settings button in the top right.
  3. Scroll until you see Game Logs.
  4. Tap the button next to either the Save Raid Logs or Save Battle Logs option.

You can disable Game Logging at any time by toggling this setting. Keep in mind that, if you disable Game Logging, any game logs that you haven’t uploaded will be deleted.

Sharing Game Logs with Niantic

Once you have enabled Game Logging, your app will automatically save your raid or battle data. This data will be stored for 24 hours or until your next battle or raid, whichever comes first. You can upload game logs at any time in the Settings menu.
  1. From the Map View, tap the Main Menu  button.
  2. Tap the Settings button.
  3. Scroll until you see Game Logs.
  4. Tap the Upload button to submit your most recent game log.

Here are some important things to remember as you consider sharing your game data:
  • Other Trainers in your raid group should also submit raid logs if you experience an issue.
  • You can submit raid logs even if you are unable to complete the Raid Battle.
  • If possible, your opponent should also submit battle logs if you experience an issue.
  • Only data from your most recent raid or Trainer Battle is saved and only for 24 hours.
  • No other data is preserved in your game logs.
  • If you are filing a ticket to support, be sure to also submit your game logs. Note that these logs are used to help improve the overall performance of Pokémon GO and are not used to troubleshoot your individual issue.
  • Game logs are not automatically submitted to Niantic, you must tap the Upload button to submit this data.
