It’s been 33 years since the release of the original Game Boy. Gaming fans are celebrating the first handheld device in the Game Boy line on the 33rd anniversary of its release.
As of April 21, 2022, the Game Boy is officially 33 years old! In case you couldn’t tell, some of our favorite games on the classic handheld include Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue and Pokémon Yellow… and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, Tetris, Super Mario Land, Kirby’s Dream Land, etc. Way too many to count!
