Poison–Tera Type Greninja with the Mightiest Mark now appearing in black crystal Tera Raid Battles until February 12 at 23:59 UTC in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Posted on February 10, 2023 by Blogger

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are now available for Nintendo Switch. Read on below to learn more about one of the latest in-game events:

Challenge Greninja in Tera Raid Battles

Sneak on over to a black Tera Raid crystal to challenge and catch a Poison–Tera Type Greninja with the Mightiest Mark.

Greninja with the Mightiest Mark is appearing in black crystal Tera Raid Battles! You can try catching Greninja—before it vanishes with a ninja’s grace—until Sunday, February 12, 2023, at 3:59 p.m. PST. Greninja cannot normally be encountered in Paldea, and the Greninja appearing during this event has Poison as its Tera Type, making it a formidable foe—it even has the Mightiest Mark to prove it!

For the opportunity to encounter this Pokémon in Tera Raid Battles, you’ll need to have downloaded the latest Poké Portal News. You can do this by connecting your Nintendo Switch system to the internet or by selecting Poké Portal in the X menu, then Mystery Gift, then Get Poké Portal News. After that, whenever you see a sparkling pillar of light shining from a Tera Raid crystal, you can walk up to the crystal and interact with it to start a Tera Raid Battle with a Tera Pokémon.

To challenge Greninja, Trainers will need to either complete the postgame events that follow the main story or join a 7-star Tera Raid Battle hosted by a Trainer who has completed those events. This special Greninja can be caught only once per save data. You can still participate in Tera Raid Battles against this Greninja if you’ve already caught it to obtain other rewards—including significant amounts of Exp. Candy for leveling up your Pokémon and Tera Shards for changing your Pokémon’s Tera Type.

Be warned: Greninja is certain to put up a tough fight. If you’re looking for some tips on how to pin down this stealthy ninja, head on over to our Tera Raid Battle Tips article. Learn the ins and outs of Tera Raid Battles in the Paldea region so that you never miss a chance to catch a powerful Pokémon or earn handsome rewards.
