Bounsweet Debuts in Pokémon GO Sustainability Week 2023
Add three new Pokédex entries with Bounsweet, Steenee, and Tsareena.
If the air smells a little sweeter while playing Pokémon GO, you can thank Bounsweet. The Fruit Pokémon is making its Pokémon GO debut to celebrate Sustainability Week, which runs through April 26, 2023, at 8 p.m. local time. Trainers can evolve Bounsweet into Steenee with 25 Bounsweet Candy, and can kick it with Tsareena by using 100 Bounsweet Candy to evolve Steenee.
“Bud” wait, there’s more—buddy up for Sustainability Week to enjoy the following event bonuses.
- If your Buddy Pokémon is an Ultra Buddy or higher, it will bring souvenirs more frequently
- If your Buddy Pokémon is a Great Buddy or higher, it will bring leaf-wrapped gifts more frequently, and more of these gifts will include Berries
- Your Buddy Pokémon will accompany you longer on the map after being fed
- Earning hearts with your Buddy Pokémon will require half the usual adventure distance
In addition to Bounsweet, Trainers may encounter Squirtle, Shellder, Larvitar, Wailmer, Drilbur, Cottonee, Petilil, Dwebble, Foongus, Froakie, and Binacle in the wild. Pokémon hatching from 7 km Eggs include Cherubi and Drilbur. Take on Timed Research tasks to earn encounters with Drilbur, Trubbish, and Bounsweet, and complete Field Research tasks to earn encounters with Drilbur.
Play sustainably, Trainers!
