Pokémon GO Out to Play Event

Make the most of event bonuses and research while exploring Routes!

If you’re barking for adventure, why not explore a few Routes during Pokémon GO’s Out to Play event? Through October 2, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time, Trainers can enjoy event bonuses, a variety of research opportunities—from Field Research to Timed Research and Paid Timed Research—and the Pokémon GO debut of Shiny Hisuian Growlithe!

A better Routes experience awaits, too: more Routes are now available and the level requirement to create a Route has been lowered. Additionally, the Nearby menu will contain more Routes, directional arrows will now help guide you while on a Route, and a visible count of Zygarde Cells will be available within the Zygarde Cube details.

Event bonuses include Kecleon appearing more frequently at PokéStops, triple XP for completing a Route, and earning Buddy Candy faster while traveling Routes with your buddy. Look out for more Psyduck, Growlithe, Arcanine, Onix, Eevee, Feebas, Woobat, and Pawmi in the wild.

There’s a lot to learn as you make the most of these new Routes. Take on Field Research to earn encounters with Hisuian Growlithe—which may even appear as a Shiny Pokémon!—Hisuian Qwilfish, Hisuian Sneasel, and Pawmi. Timed Research focused on exploring Routes will get you Stardust, encounters with Hisuian Growlithe, and more.

Tickets for the Paid Timed Research “Tails of Adventure” cost US$2.00 (of the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency) in the in-game shop. Complete the research before 8:00 p.m. local time on October 2, 2023, to earn six encounters with Hisuian Growlithe, five encounters with Growlithe, two Incubators, and one Super Incubator. As always, Trainers can purchase and gift tickets to Pokémon GO friends that they’ve achieved a level of Great Friends or higher with.

Enjoy the journey, Trainers!
