From Mario to Sora, all Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo have officially been released

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has received a new software update! Read on below to learn more:

How to Update Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Applies to: Nintendo Switch Family, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Nintendo Switch – OLED Model


Follow these steps to update Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, or review the software’s update history.
Note
  • This update must be applied in order to use the game’s Internet features.
  • A Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to use the game’s online features.
  • Save data will still be available for use after downloading the update.
  • Replay data from previous versions is not compatible with the newest version. Be sure to convert your replays by going to Vault in the main menu and selecting Convert to Video before updating the software.
  • The update will download and install automatically if the system is connected to the internet and the Auto-Update Software setting is enabled. If there is not enough system memory or microSD card storage to download the update, you will first need to expand or free up memory space and then follow the steps below.
  • All players must be using the same version of the software to play together. Please make sure you have the same update version as the person you are playing with.
On February 14, 2024, a new software update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate became available for download. Please take a moment to download and install this update while your Nintendo Switch console is connected to the Internet.

Complete these steps

  1. Connect the Nintendo Switch console to the internet.
  2. From the HOME Menu, select the icon for the software you wish to update without starting the game or application.
  3. Press the + Button or – Button on your controller. The current version number will display under the software title.
  4. Select Software Update followed by Via the Internet.

Latest update: Ver. 13.0.2 (Released February 14, 2024)

  • Updates for compatibility with the Sora amiibo, which is scheduled to be released soon.
