For this edition of FanArt Friday, Pokémon Blog is excited to display the art of the spectacular CamiFleck. She participated in Vocaloid Trainer, an extraordinary project created by the amazing team of Ilustradoras Unidas.
“Art has been a fundamental theme in my life for as long as I can remember,” she shared with the Pokémon Blog Team. “It’s a place where you can express everything when words are not enough. It’s a place of introspection, a safe place where you can experiment, make mistakes, and start over as many times as you want. There are no rules. A place in which every mistake is an opportunity and a new result and solution that helps you to capture your vision of a memory, a place, a character, a feeling, and your unique vision of the world.”
Pokémon has accompanied our featured artist since her childhood with its games, stories, designs, and characters.
“I used to admire the illustrations of the cards, which my brother collected, and spend entire afternoons and nights playing and replaying some of the editions like Pokémon Ruby or Pokémon Pearl, marveling at its world, and fantasizing about living in it and taking care of my own Pokémon.”
Cami revealed that some of her first drawings were copies of the illustrations of her favorite Pokémon, the cards, and the Pokédex.
Combining her love for Pokémon and Art is “the opportunity to bring to the world that adventure and fantasy that rolled in my head with each of their titles and stories.”
“My favorite Pokémon is Torchic. Just seeing him makes me want to hug him and take care of him,” she concluded.
