For this edition of FanArt Friday, Pokémon Blog is beyond delighted to display the extraordinary artwork of the talented Pau (shinjiru_art). She has participated in the third and fifth generations of Pokédex Ilustrada, the project organized by our dear friends from Ilustradoras Unidas.
For Pau, art is one of the fundamental pillars of her life. “Art gives me happiness. It motivates me to keep moving forward. Besides, it’s something that connects me with my mom (she’s an artist and writer) and my partner, who is also an illustrator.”
“The Pokémon franchise represents my childhood. I enjoyed playing the games with my brother. We were always trading Pokémon,“ she said. “I like to draw Pokémon now and then. It’s like giving them a makeover, a style that suits my own, especially if they are my favorites.”
Speaking of favorites, Pau’s favorite Pokémon is none other than Blaziken (although, Garchomp and Tyranitar aren’t far behind).
“I pick Torchic whenever I can do it. He’s a strong and balanced Pokémon. Plus, his attacks are very cool,” she concluded.
