Introducing the new feature “GO Stamp Rally”! Visit PokéStops and collect stamps!
Trainers,
A new feature, “GO Stamp Rally,” will be available in “Pokémon GO”! Just like the stamp rallies you’re familiar with in the real world, in “Pokémon GO” you’ll be able to visit various locations and collect stamps to have fun.
What is the “GO Stamp Rally”?
“GO Stamp Rally” is a new feature that allows you to visit certain PokéStops and spin the Photo Disc at each location to collect a stamp. With the new goal of collecting all the stamps, you can explore the city even more.
How to play “GO Stamp Rally”
The basic gameplay is the same as a real-world stamp rally. “GO Stamp Rally” has a theme, and you collect stamps by visiting specific PokeStops set according to that theme.
- When you visit a PokéStop that is participating in the “GO Stamp Rally”, you will automatically receive a stamp sheet. The stamp rally button will also appear on the map, allowing you to start the “GO Stamp Rally”.
- When you start the GO Stamp Rally, an orange stamp will appear above the PokéStop you’re participating in. When you visit that PokéStop and spin the Photo Disc, you’ll get a stamp on your stamp sheet.
- The way to stamp is similar to a real stamp. The way you stamp will affect how it looks, and the length of time you press will affect the ink density. However, you cannot re-stamp it. The stamp will also display the name and date of the PokeStop.
- Visit multiple PokeStops and collect stamps. If you collect all the stamps on your stamp sheet, or more than the required number of stamps, you can get items related to the stamp rally theme or encounter a specific Pokemon.

Details will be announced at a later date, so please wait for a while.
Thoughts behind the development of “GO Stamp Rally”
Many wonderful places around the world are already PokéStops. Unique places that only locals know about have also become PokéStops, helping people discover the charm of the area. Visiting these fascinating PokéStops is one way to enjoy Pokémon GO. We hope that Pokémon GO will encourage Trainers to visit various places and enjoy the real world even more.
Did you know that stamp rallies actually originated in Japan? We’ve added this stamp rally from Japan to Pokémon GO as “GO Stamp Rally.” We developed “GO Stamp Rally” by asking ourselves, “What would interest Japanese Trainers?” and “What kind of gameplay would they want to experience?” We hope that Japanese Trainers will enjoy this new feature that originated in Japan, and in the future, we hope to spread it to Trainers all over the world.
When playing Pokémon GO, please be aware of your surroundings and follow the laws, regulations, and policies of your country and local government. Upcoming events may be canceled or changed. Please check social media, push notifications, and emails for the latest information.
