Pokémon GO’s Mega Squads event runs Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. through Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. local time, introducing Maschiff and Mabosstiff to the game and giving Trainers their first chance to encounter Shiny Flamigo. The event also introduces the new Super Max Mega Level for Mega Beedrill and Mega Houndoom, allowing both Pokémon to learn an additional Charged Attack while Mega Evolved. Mega Beedrill can learn Fell Stinger+, while Mega Houndoom gains Dark Pulse+. Trainers can also take on Mega Beedrill and Mega Houndoom in raids, earn Mega Energy through event activities, hatch Pokémon from 5 km Eggs and progress through the free GO Pass: Mega Squads or paid GO Pass Deluxe for additional rewards.
