A new Pokémon Pokopia update is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, with Version 2.0.1 addressing several bugs and stability issues following its Sept. 7 release. The update fixes situations where Ho-Oh and Lugia could repeatedly descend and reappear, Pokémon could not be found through the Pokédex search function or the relocation kit could not be picked up, while also resolving issues involving repeating sound effects, game freezes and players becoming stuck on loading screens. The update is required to access Pokémon Pokopia’s Internet features, and players must be running the same software version to play together online. Save data remains compatible after installing the update, while a Nintendo Switch Online membership is required for the game’s online features.
Latest update: Ver. 2.0.1 (Released September 7, 2026)
The following issues have been fixed.
- Under certain conditions, Ho-Oh and Lugia repeatedly descend and reappear.
- Under certain conditions, Pokémon cannot be found when using the search function in the Pokédex.
- Under certain conditions, the relocation kit could not be picked up.
- Under certain conditions, sound effects play repeatedly.
- Under certain conditions, the game freezes.
- Under certain conditions, the game becomes stuck on the loading screen.
