Nintendo has unveiled a major slate of The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary announcements, including The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo Switch 2, anniversary-themed hardware and accessories, a worldwide concert series and the upcoming live-action movie. The enhanced Ocarina of Time launches Nov. 5 with overhauled visuals, fully voiced cutscenes, expanded dialogue, orchestral music, improved movement and camera controls, faster load times and new features including the Threads of Time progression system and ZELDA NOTES integration. Fans can also purchase the Nintendo Switch 2 – The Legend of Zelda – 40th Anniversary Edition system beginning Oct. 29, alongside anniversary editions of the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, including a version with a display stand, and a themed carrying case with screen protector. Nintendo also announced new playable and electronic ocarinas, Young Link and Young Zelda amiibo coming in 2027 and a Sept. 17 release for the Mineru’s Construct amiibo. The anniversary concert series will tour Japan, North America, Europe and Australia in 2027, while the live-action The Legend of Zelda movie is scheduled to open worldwide April 30, 2027.
