Registration details are now set for the 2027 Pokémon Latin America International Championships (LAIC), taking place Nov. 20-22, 2026, in São Paulo, Brazil. Competitor registration opens in two waves on Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. BRT and Sept. 23 at 9 a.m. BRT, while spectator registration begins Sept. 23 at 9 a.m. BRT. Players can compete in Pokémon VGC, Pokémon TCG and Pokémon GO, with Pokémon GO introducing a limited meta featuring Mega-Evolved Pokémon for the first time while banning Fire-, Dark-, Steel- and Fairy-type Pokémon along with several additional species and Legendary Pokémon, Mythical Pokémon and Ultra Beasts. VGC competitors will follow the Pokémon Champions device policy, while Pokémon GO competitors must be at least 16 years old. The 2027 LAIC will also feature its first cosplay showcase, with participant registration now open.
