Pokémon GO’s Patterns of the Wild event will introduce Pikachu wearing a batik shirt with a Special Background for the first time on Oct. 2, 2026, exclusively in Indonesia. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time, with Trainers able to encounter the costumed Pikachu in the wild, through Timed Research and via surprise snapshot encounters, with a chance for a Shiny version. Timed Research will be available from Sept. 28 through Oct. 7 and will also feature encounters with Oddish, Ledyba and Hoppip alongside XP and Stardust rewards, while event bonuses will increase Incense duration to two hours and boost encounters with Pikachu and other event Pokémon. Trainers can also complete a Collection Challenge to earn XP, Stardust and Pikachu batik-shirt stickers.
