Pokémon Sleep will introduce a new guardian approval system after an update scheduled for Oct. 22, 2026, at 4 a.m. The requirement applies to researchers who did not have the Research Community button in the Main Menu before the update, as well as anyone creating a new Pokémon Sleep account. Players who want to continue using the app must provide a guardian’s email address and complete an adult verification process through Kids Web Services. Guardian approval is also required to access the Research Community feature, although players can continue playing Pokémon Sleep without permission to use that feature.
