Pokémon GO’s Harvest Festival: Taken Over event is now underway from Oct. 2 at 12 a.m. through Oct. 5, 2026, at 8 p.m. local time, introducing Shiny Shroodle as a new hatchable Pokémon while giving players another chance to rescue Shadow Zekrom from Team GO Rocket. During the event, Shiny Slugma encounters will be more likely, Team GO Rocket will appear more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons, and Charged TMs can be used to remove Frustration from Shadow Pokémon. One-star and three-star Shadow Raids will also feature a wider range of Attack, Defense and HP values for caught Pokémon. Event-themed wild encounters include Koffing, Slugma, Numel and potentially Magmar, while new Shadow Pokémon include Wimpod, Fomantis and Sandygast. Players can progress through the GO Pass: Harvest Festival to earn a Super Rocket Radar and track down Giovanni, with rewards available until Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. local time. Event Field Research offers Fast TMs, Charged TMs and Mysterious Components, while Shadow and Purified Pokémon remain unable to fuse with other Pokémon.
