Pokémon GO’s Harvest Festival: Taken Over event will run from Oct. 2 at midnight through Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. local time, giving players a chance to rescue Shadow Zekrom from Giovanni and hatch the newly debuting Shiny Shroodle. Team GO Rocket will appear more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons, while players can use Charged TMs to remove Frustration from Shadow Pokémon during the event and encounter Shadow Pokémon with a wider range of Attack, Defense and HP values in one-star and three-star Shadow Raids. Event Wild Encounters will include Koffing, Slugma, Numel and Magmar, with Shiny Slugma receiving an increased encounter rate, while Team GO Rocket Grunts and leaders Sierra, Cliff and Arlo will deploy different Shadow Pokémon, including newly available Shadow Wimpod, Shadow Fomantis and Shadow Sandygast. Players can progress through the Harvest Festival GO Pass to obtain a Super Rocket Radar and track down Giovanni, with rewards available until Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. local time, while event Field Research offers Fast TMs, Charged TMs and Mysterious Components.
