Pokémon GO’s first-ever Lunar New Year event ends soon

February 16, 2018, marked the start of the Lunar New Year and the beginning of the Year of the Dog. To celebrate this festive occasion, Pokémon GO is hosting a special Lunar New Year Event until today, February 17,  highlighting Pokémon that resemble real-life canines. During this time, expect to see plenty more Poochyena, Growlithe, Eevee, Snubbull, and Electrike appearing in your area – as well as Shiny Poochyena! As an extra bonus, you will receive three times the usual amount of Stardust when you capture them, which will come in handy when you’re looking to power up your Pokémon. The Lunar New Year event is scheduled to conclude today, February 17, at 21:00 UTC – so not much time is left!
