Detective Pikachu now available to pre-purchase and pre-load on Nintendo 3DS eShop in Japan

The Detective Pikachu game is now available to pre-purchase and pre-load via the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS in Japan, ahead of its global launch on March 23. The downloadable version of the upcoming game requires 14,082 blocks, which equates to about 1.7 GB. Owners of the original Detective Pikachu – Birth of a New Duo can take advantage of a discount applied to Detective Pikachu until April 22. There’s currently no word on when the pre-purchase and pre-load option will go live outside of Japan, but stay tuned for any updates.
