Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon players are no longer battling with only Pokémon found in the Kalos Pokédex as part of the Kalos Ultra Classic Online Competition. Trainers experienced the Kalos region first in the Pokémon X and Pokémon Y games, but for the Ultra Kalos Classic, you needed either Pokémon Ultra Sun or Pokémon Ultra Moon to compete. You were able to bring in Pokémon from other games via Poké Transporter.
The competition went from Friday, April 27, at 00:00 UTC, until Sunday, April 29, 2018, at 23:59 UTC. Trainers were limited to 15 battles per day. Junior Division players (born in 2003 or later) were limited to playing between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., based on the easternmost time zone in each player’s country. All qualified participants in the Ultra Kalos Classic Online Competition will receive 50 Battle Points. Players must complete at least one battle to qualify.
