Tatsumi Kimishima is officially stepping down as the president of Nintendo, a position he filled after Satoru Iwata passed away nearly three years ago. Kimishima will be replaced by Shuntaro Furukawa on June 28, 2018. Meanwhile, Satoru Shibata is also retiring his role as the president of Nintendo of Europe. Shibata is instead moving to Japan to become a member of the board of directors for Nintendo Co., Ltd.
