The original Pokémon Center officially celebrated its 20th anniversary on April 25, 2018. To commemorate this milestone, The Pokémon Company is hosting a huge event until June 30 at Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Store locations throughout Japan. A slew of engaging activities are available for fans to take part in, including exclusive giveaways, battle events, meet-and-greet sessions, as well as distributions for Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon and Pokémon Sun & Moon. One such distribution is Shaymin, which is now available for download via Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores throughout Japan until June 30. This particular Shaymin is a level-20 Pokémon and comes with the Everstone item. It also comes equipped with the moves Growth, Seed Flare, Return and Celebrate – which it doesn’t normally learn. Celebrate can be powered with a Z-Crystal to turn into Z-Celebrate, a move that boosts all of the user’s stats.
There is also a set of exclusive merchandise such as the Pokémon-themed cubes calendar. This item was extremely popular to the point where it almost instantly went out of stock. Therefore, The Pokémon Company will be shipping more in August 2018, with pre-orders still open until May 31. In addition, The Pokémon Company is also releasing a new batch of goods from June 2 at the Pokémon Center and Amazon Japan. New products launching on this day include stuffed dolls, Pokémon cookies, key rings, clear file, smartphone cases and covers, plates, a mug, memo stand, ballpoint pen, mechanical pencil and more.
